For the gravity lovers, this trip delivered Skyline, Cardrona, shuttles of the locals favorite DH tracks, and even the option of a heli. It was all about maximum altitude and maximum descent.
This trip was made for the gravity addicts, Skyline laps, Cardrona’s alpine descents, shuttles of local DH favorites, and even the chance to swap in a heli drop for the ultimate vertical. It was all about maximum altitude, maximum descent, and maximum fun.
The adventure began with an airport pickup and straight into evening laps at Queenstown Bike Park, the perfect way to shake off travel and get straight into gondola-fed downhill. On day two, riders headed to Cardrona Bike Park, with transport and lift passes included, spending the day carving high-alpine descents with endless views.
Day three gave riders a choice: another full day at Skyline or the once-in-a-lifetime option of a heli drop from the Remarks to Ben Cruachan (1,895m). Those who took the heli were rewarded with a massive vertical descent across wild backcountry terrain, while the rest kept stacking laps closer to town.
Day four focused on shuttles of local classics, Rude Rock and Zoot before one huge descent of Corotown, rolling into Arrowtown and finishing at the pub for a well-earned cold one. The final morning, riders squeezed in a few last Skyline laps (for those whose arms and legs were still holding on) before airport drop-offs.
It was five days of pure downhill indulgence, fast gondola laps, big alpine trails, rowdy shuttles, and even backcountry heli lines. Every rider left tired, dusty, and grinning from ear to ear.
