Deposits and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your arrival and tour departure.
- Cancellations 1-14 Days prior to trip departure – No Refund
We reserve the right to hold your payment however are reasonable. Let us know why you are cancelling and we will do what we can to help you out.
Changes to Tour Details
Living in the mountains there is unforeseen events with weather and natural disasters. On the rear occasion we will make changes to your trip. Most of the time it will be unnoticeable however in the circumstances to major changes – Queenstown Bike Taxis reserves the right to change, amend or cancel trips due to weather, natural disaster or any other event out of our control. In these cases we will notify you as soon as possible. We are not be liable for any damages or losses suffered as a result of cancellation or variation of a tour or trip.
Insurance
Mountain biking is a dangerous sport. Please get travel insurance to make sure you are covered for the worst case scenario.
Legal
In consideration of the use of Queenstown Bike Taxi’s services, the client agrees as follows:
- Queenstown Bike Taxis is a transport service only and provides tour organisation (including food and accommodation, when applicable) We make no representations as to:
- the condition of any track;
- level of ability required to use any track;
- the condition and quality of accommodation and/or food, if applicable; or
- the quality of any bikes, helmets or any other riding equipment which has been hired (“Bike Hire Equipment”) to the client from another company which QBT has recommended or arranged Bike Hire Equipment through.
- The client is aware of and accepts and fully assumes all risks, dangers and hazards and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage or loss resulting from use of any track.
- The client expressly assumes all risk of loss, damage or injury, including damage or loss to baggage, bikes, helmets or any other riding equipment, occurring as a result of using QBT’s services whether in transit or at pick up/set down points, including the risk of QBT’s negligence.
- The client agrees to fully release and indemnify QBT from all liability for any damages, injuries, or claims, including any injuries or damages occurring from any negligence of QBT to the client or any other person or property, as a result of using QBT’s services and/or using any track.
- That the client will wear a bike helmet at all times that the client is using a bike, in accordance with New Zealand law.
- Body armour is recommended by Queenstown Bike Taxis, if I choose not to wear these, I understand it may be detrimental to my health in the event of a crash.
- I understand I may be refused entry into a van if any part of my equipment is deemed unsatisfactory by drivers.
- I understand trails are crossing or nearby tracks are open to the public and agree to ride with care and consideration and furthermore agree to obey any orders given to me by the driver.
- The client is aware and accepts that any itineraries provided by QBT are a guide only and that QBT is not responsible for any claims related to those itineraries.
- The client is aware and accepts that QBT reserves the right to:
- Modify any aspect of any tour;
- Cancel or modify any tracks in the tour or objectives set out in the itinerary;
- Substitute different or equivalent tracks in place of cancelled or modified tracks;
- Postpone, cancel or delay any aspect of the tour if it is necessary to do so due for any reason.
- That no refund can be given to the client, under any circumstances, once the tour period has commenced.
- Any tour organisation (including arranging food and accommodation, if applicable) and transport services may be in the hands of a third party at any time and the client agrees that any action which arises due to any shortcoming of any third party’s performance is against that third party and not against QBT.
- That the client is sufficiently healthy to undertake the tour, including all tracks, transport and travel.
- Any photography or video footage taken by QBT, remains the property of QBT and can be used by QBT with no further consent or payment.
- QBT may refuse to carry any potential client, at any time, for any reason.
- QBT strongly recommends that all clients take out travel insurance prior to confirming any tour booking with QBT.
