7 Mile Trail Network 1024 764 QTBT

7 Mile is Queenstown’s most popular cross country trail network. After 5pm this place is heaving with locals.
All built and maintained by the QMTBC!

Trail Style & Terrain:

Trails range from beginner to expert (green / blue / up to black diamond), so there’s something for a broad range of skill levels. Mostly cross-country (XC) singletrack, flowy trails, scenic connectors, some steeper or more technical sections for advanced riders. There are jump / progressive features in places. There are 28 trails totaling approximately 16 km of singletrack and flow trails.

Notable Trails & Features:

Jack B Nimble: A jump trail featuring tabletop jumps, railing berms, step-downs. Great for stepping up jump skills. Upper Kachoong, Gravitron, IB55: These trails are faster, more flowy, and give more speed and challenge. Designed to give you more fun while still being relatively safe and well built. Cool Runnings: More one of the easier / mellow options. Good as warm-ups or for less experienced riders.

Access:

Located along the Glenorchy Road, about 11 km (7 miles) from Queenstown. Can be reached from both the Wilson Bay and 7 Mile car park. The Wilson Bay entrance tends to be a gentler / easier access and is on the lakefront for post ride dips if your brave enough for a plunge in the famously chilly Lake Wakatipu. Both car parks have public toilets.
