One of the most scenic bike parks in existence, you might even forget your legs are burning.

Bike Glendhu is a relatively new, pedal-powered mountain bike park set on Glendhu Station, just about 10 minutes by car from Wānaka, at Glendhu Bay.

The park sits on roughly 1000 hectares of high-country terrain. There are about 35 km of trails open (with more under development) that cater to a wide range of riders, from complete beginners and families through to advanced/techy riders.

Bike Glendhu strikes a good balance. It’s a place where beginners and families can find nice, scenic, gentle trails without too much stress. Intermediate riders can get a lot of flow, fun berms, jumps and good variety. Advanced riders will enjoy the technical features, rock gardens, steep bits, and the challenge of choosing more demanding lines.

Because most access involves pedalling, there’s a sense of effort earned in the climb, which makes the descents feel more satisfying. Views are a highlight. On a good day you get alpine panorama, tussock country, forest, and that classic lake view of Wānaka.
