This was the ultimate gravity trip – heli drops, Skyline laps, Cardrona missions, and shuttles of every classic DH track Queenstown has to offer. Riders chased maximum altitude and huge descents, mixing rocks, roots, and singletrack heaven with hidden gems and big-name trails.
Our 10-Day Gravity Adventure was an absolute dream for downhill fanatics. Over ten packed days, riders chased maximum vertical, from heli drops and Skyline laps to Cardrona descents and classic shuttle runs — with just enough variety to keep every day fresh. It was a mix of Queenstown’s famous terrain and Central Otago’s hidden gems, where big altitude, raw singletrack, and unforgettable descents ruled the agenda.
The trip kicked off with a sunset ride on Coronet Peak, dropping into Coronet XC and Corotown before a celebratory pint in Arrowtown — the perfect icebreaker. From there, the pace ramped up with a day at New Zealand’s very first bike park, gondola-accessed and packed with flow and tech. Riders then doubled down on day three with shuttles of Rude Rock, Zoot, and Skippers before another Coronet run, a classic Queenstown combo that set the tone for the week.
By day four, it was time for the high alpine terrain of Cardrona Bike Park, finished in true Kiwi style with the legendary Peak to Pub ride. After four big days, riders had the choice of a recovery day or Wanaka’s flowing singletrack to spin the legs out. The next few days delivered more gravity hits: Skyline gondola laps at Bob’s Peak, a guided mission to Clyde’s unique rocky trails, and another full session at Skyline to chase speed and push limits.
The grand finale came with a heli drop, lifting riders high into the backcountry for a huge descent that felt like pure wilderness riding, steep lines, endless views, and the kind of terrain you only reach by helicopter. The adventure wrapped up with an airport drop-off on day ten, but the stoke carried on long after.
This custom trip was the definition of gravity-fuelled riding: iconic descents, hidden treasures, seamless logistics, and the camaraderie that comes with sharing ten epic days on the trails.
