Coronet Peak
Hosting the most iconic trail in the region – Rude Rock is just 1 of many trails up the Coronet Peak Mountain. Ski field by winter, CP is opening their doors again to summer biking! QBT has teamed up with NZSki to offer lift & shuttle combo packages! There will be 8 trails to choose that will be lift and shuttle accessible this season. Added bonus is coffee and cafe in the base building to fill your hunger needs! This place will leave you speechless with the most breath taking post card views!

Skyline / Ben Lomond Bike Park
The beating heart of the mountain bike scene in Queenstown. Starting with lift-accessed from the Skyline Gondola, the park delivers fast-flowing descents, technical features, and gravity-fed fun with stunning alpine views. From the park, riders can link out to the challenging Ben Lomond trails, which provide epic backcountry singletrack, steady climbs, native beech forest, and panoramic vistas over Lake Wakatipu. For those seeking a more flow and freeride oriented experience, the Wynyard trails offer a range of trails featuring berms, jumps and machine built features for intermediate to advanced riders and includes the world famous Dream Track. Combined, the Skyline Bike Park, Ben Lomond trails, and Wynyard network form a central hub for Queenstown mountain biking.

7 Mile Trail Network
If you are an XC fan this area will be your bread and butter. 10-20 minute pedaling loops makes for some great exercise. If you wanted a good couple hours loop, then head up to the Moke Lake Lake dispute loop via Gold Digger to get some of the most back country views around. You really feel like you’re one with nature here! Enjoy the scenic single track of Phoenix and go for a few more loops with in 7mile.

Wynyard Freeride Area
Want to get some air time? This is the place our local top dogs like Eddie Masters, Connor McFarlane, Brook McDonald and once legend Kelly McGarry call home! From the smallest learning jumps in Mini Dream, to the most flowing berm crazy blue jump line of McNearly Gnarly, to biggest jumps in town of Big Dream, this is where people get air. Add in a DH track to shuttle and QBT can take you there!

Cardrona & Wanaka
Just a shuttle ride away from Queenstown and over the Crown Range is the incredible high-altitude lift-accessed trails of Cardrona Bike Park, a Ski resort in the summer months, this well catered Bike Park includes the famous 10 km Peak to Pub trail which takes you all the way to the historical Cardrona Pub. A short 15mins from Cardrona is Wanaka, home to diverse array of trails, totaling over 750 km, encompassing everything from lakeside rides to challenging backcountry routes and home to Glendhu Bay Bike Park.

The Matangi Station MTB Park provides a network of purpose-built trails set amidst rugged terrain, catering to various skill levels. For those seeking more technical challenges, the Flat Top Hill trail offers advanced riders a thrilling experience. Clyde, a historic town nestled in Central Otago, serves as a hub for several renowned cycling trails. The Lake Dunstan Trail, which starts or finishes in Clyde, features boardwalks, a suspension bridge, and offers stunning lake and mountain scenery. Additionally, the town provides access to the Otago Central Rail Trail, New Zealand’s original Great Ride.

Welcome Rock
Welcome Rock is a private high-country station turned into a biking + hiking retreat, about 45 minutes south of Queenstown near the small settlement of Garston. It sits on about 2,000 hectares of rugged farmland / high country, with remote, scenic views and accommodation options (huts, restored woolshed, etc.) for those staying overnight. The main trail is the Roaring Lion Trail, a 27 km loop, 21km of which is hand-built singletrack, with the rest being connecting gravel road sections.

Moonlight Track & Moke Lake
The Moonlight Track is a challenging backcountry singletrack that offers riders an exhilarating experience high above the Shotover River. Starting from Arthurs Point, the trail traverses rugged terrain, providing stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, the trail splits at the Ben Lomond Saddle with the option to drop down into the Skyline / Ben Lomond Bike Park or carry on the backcountry mission to Moke Lake, which itself offers a range of trails from the scenic and gentle to more challenging.

The Queenstown Trail network is designed to be accessible year-round, with most sections being flat and easy-going, making it suitable for families and cyclists of all abilities. The trails are well-maintained and offer plenty of opportunities for rest stops, including cafes, picnic areas, and wineries. Spanning over 130 km, it links Queenstown, Arrowtown, Gibbston Valley, and Arthurs Point, with iconic natural features and goldmining heritage spots throughout.
